                        Kentucky CFL Moderators

Kim Mather participated in both speech and debate while attending LaRue County High School, and graduated from LaRue County in 1977, and matriculated to Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and later transferred to the University of Kentucky. She served as the speech coach for LaRue County High School from 1986 to 1994, and assisted Mr. Garland Blair, founder of Kentucky's CFL district, with the running of the KCFL District tournament. Upon Mr. Blair's passing in 1999, Ms. Mather assumed the position of Kentucky CFL District Moderator, and has stayed in that position for the past six years.

Ms. Mather currently heads the English Department at LaRue County High School, as well as serving as the Yearbook Advisor, Academic Team Assistant Coach, and Senior Class sponsor.


Katy Cecil, high school speech participant and LaRue County High School graduate of the class of 1987, attended Western Kentucky University and participated on the WKU forensics team. Since being instated on the LaRue County Middle School staff in 2001, she has taught seventh and eighth grade Language Arts and Literature, and also serves as LaRue County Middle School's Head Speech Coach and Yearbook Advisor.

Mrs. Cecil has been assisting Ms. Kim Mather as an Assistant Moderator for the Kentucky CFL District since 1999.
